| | I was at this lady house a while back, doing some yard work for her, when something struck my mind.
Starting to do the yard work, we(My brother and I) were told to get the weeds out of the rocks, and take away the dead plants, and really, just make it look nice again. As I was cleaning her rock yard of weeds, I glanced over at the rose garden and noticed that alot of grass had grown up around the plants. Now, the grass didn't look all that bad, for it was indeed a very nice green grass, a type that would be most desired in a yard. But as I looked, it seemed to me, that it didn't really belong up by the roses. It took away the beauty of the roses. Thinking these thoughts, I also started thinking about the Christian life. As Christians, I realated, that our lives should be rose gardens. But, I started to wonder, how many of our lives have that 'grass' in our lives also. Things that look okay, and really, might even be okay, but, are taking away the beauty of Christ in our lives, and really shadowing it. Doing a better job calling attention to the things in our life, instead of what should be the main thing in our lives. Which should be Jesus Christ, if we are truly Christians. As I cleared away the grass, I could see slowly, how much better the roses were looking already. But also, instead of just cutting the grass, I was trying as hardas i could, to remove the grass all the way...the roots included. Which led me to another thought. How many things in my life do I need to remove? and, when I do remove them, am I grabbing them just close to the source, or am I digging down, and removing the source totally. Removing those roots totally, so they won't came back. And yeah. So, what about you? Have any grass that needs removed? or is some of the grass threatning to turn into weeds? And that is what I wanted to share with ya'll for a while now. ~An Antonucci Girl
